In 2020, as part of the School Self-Evaluation (SSE) process, our school created and implemented a Wellbeing Framework. The aim of this new initiative is to focus on a different aspect of wellbeing on a school-wide basis each month. The Wellbeing Framework topics for the year are as follows:
September | October | November | December | January |
Friendship | Resilience, Work Ethic & Never Giving Up | Kindness & Anti-Bullying | Giving & Gifting | Healthy Body, Healthy Mind |
February | March | April | May | June |
Love | Springtime, Growth & New Beginning | Courage | Patience | Reflection |
Each month one class prepares and presents a presentation to the whole school on the wellbeing topic of the month – explaining the importance of the topic and offering practical suggestions as to how we can all improve our own wellbeing.
To start the 2022 / 2023 academic year, Mr. Walsh’s class put together a fantastic video on Friendship for September. It explains what friendship is and it contains great messages for our pupils on how to be a good friend. The class even created their own friendship dramas. To view the video, please click here
Ms. Healy’s 6th Class have prepared a fabulous presentation on Bullying for November. This ties in with the work done throughout the school for Anti-Bullying Week (Nov. 16th-20th). To view the presentation, please click here https://vimeo.com/484000738
